After completing a Bachelors degree in 2011 and still stuck working in retail, I decided that this wasn’t the life I wanted for myself. After examining several employment options I ended up attending a nautical school within Canada. At the time I had zero clue about what I was getting myself into. I was never a mechanically minded person and didn’t actually think I would succeed in an Engineering program. After 4 years of hard work I graduated in 2016 with another degree and a guaranteed job.
Since then I’ve been working (and learning) on the ships with the intention of furthering my career.
When not I’m not at sea or traveling, I call Nova Scotia, Canada, home.
